I was stoked to be able to work with the amazing Jennr8r to run this special workshop for kids at the Wide Open Space Festival over the weekend near Alice Springs. The festival was a beautiful gathering of families from all over Australia and big thanks goes out to all the organisers for makings such a heartwarming event happen in really beautiful location.
The young children had a lot of fun making flowers and animals (including dinosaurs) from loo rolls and old cardboard boxes, and then decorated them with paints, markers and glue and hung them on their tree sculpture. Older kids learnt how to make a wallet from a tetra pack, and bracelets from can ring pulls.
Everyone wanted to decorate their own milk bottle lantern and I’ve included lots of photos of these as I’m super proud of everyone’s efforts!
Big success. I’m really looking forward to doing this again!
